A video of Kolkata Knight Riders fans trolling a Royal Challengers Bengaluru supporter for his over-the-top celebrations at the Eden Gardens has gone viral.

A video of a Royal Challengers Bengaluru fan getting roasted at Eden Gardens is garnering a ton of attention on the internet. Bengaluru’s previous clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders proved to be a nail-biting thriller with the game’s momentum continuously shifting towards either side. A Bengaluru fan fell victim to this constant shift and celebrated early in front of a large flock of Kolkata fans by standing on his chair. However, Mitchell Starc’s wicket in the second last ball of regulation, followed by a run-out affair led to the Shah Rukh Khan-co-owned franchise pulling off a narrow victory. Next, the Kolkata fans returned the favour by celebrating in front of the Bengaluru supporter, dancing to the club’s theme song Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo.

The video was shared by a cricket fan page on X. Several cricket fans have now reacted to the hilarious video, with one of them saying that this wasn’t the first time a Royal Challengers Bengaluru fan was trolled. “Another incident of KKR fans owning RCB fans,” he wrote.

Another one wondered how the Bengaluru fan could even celebrate considering the poor season that the franchise was having. He commented, “How can this bro still be happy?” In one reply, a fan suggested that the scene was similar for every Bengaluru game. He said, “This is probably currently for every match of RCB.” Another fan jokingly said, “Life of an RCB fan: A day without humiliation is a day wasted.”

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are having quite a forgetful season so far in 2024. The three-time finalists began their campaign on a losing note against the Chennai Super Kings but they quickly bounced back with a win against the Punjab Kings. Nothing has gone right since their win over the 2014 finalists. They are currently on a six-match losing streak with defeats against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They lost their previous fixture to the Knights once again on April 21 at the Eden Gardens.

The match began with the Faf du Plessis-led side choosing to bowl first at the end of the toss. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine opened the innings for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The English wicketkeeper-batter added a lightning-fast 14-ball 48 to get things going for the two-time IPL winners. The franchise’s skipper Shreyas Iyer added a 36-ball 50 to help Kolkata reach 222 runs at the loss of six wickets. In the second half, Bengaluru batters Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar added 50-plus runs each. They came quite close to the target but eventually lost the match by a single run.
