A video of a young boy studying on a footpath in Delhi while selling hairbands to support his family has gained over 10 million views.

A heartwarming video of a young boy diligently studying on a footpath in Delhi has touched the hearts of many on social media. The video, shared by a photographer named Harry on Instagram, showcases the boy, Pawan, engrossed in his books despite the bustling surroundings.
Pawan, a sixth-grade student, sells hairbands on the footpath near Kamla Nagar Market to support his family. In a conversation with Harry, he shared that his father is currently in Kolkata, and his mother is at home. Despite his challenging circumstances, Pawan’s dedication to his studies and his family’s well-being shines through.
Moved by Pawan’s story, Harry took several pictures of him and shared them on Instagram, where the post quickly went viral, garnering over 11 million views. The post also sparked an outpouring of support from social media users, many of whom expressed their admiration for Pawan’s resilience and determination.
In response to the overwhelming number of people wanting to help Pawan financially, Harry mentioned in the comments section that he is unable to respond to all the messages and comments. He also mentioned that Pawan can be found outside McDonald’s in Kamla Nagar Market, North Campus Delhi and that he is raising financial help for underprivileged children, with his contact information available for donations in his bio.
One user shared a touching encounter with Pawan, saying, “I met him… I asked him if he needed any financial help in education, and he clearly said ki ‘nahi bhaiya uski zarurat ni h, aap chahe toh rubber band lelo’. I genuinely had tears in my eyes after listening to this.”
Another user remarked on Pawan’s focus on his studies, saying, “The fact that he continued studying even after somebody came in to talk and help.”
