Two videos went viral that featured the group engaging in fatal stunts as well as disobeying traffic rules.

The festival of colours was not fun for everyone this year. While most people enjoyed the day with their family and friends, a group of individuals faced harsh consequences for their unprecedented actions. A video of a group of three riding a scooter during Holi and trying out stunts went viral on social media. The local police had filed a First Information Report (FIR) on this matter, and a fine of Rs 33,000 was imposed on them. In the latest, an additional fine of Rs 47,500 against the group.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav told PTI that, “The total penalty imposed on the scooter owner over the two episodes in the two days has reached Rs 80,500.” He also urged the public to obey traffic laws and road safety guidelines, such as wearing helmets and seat belts when riding two- or four-wheelers.

Two videos went viral that featured the group engaging in fatal stunts as well as disobeying traffic rules. In one video, a man is seen riding a scooter with two women riding pillion, facing each other and playing Holi with colours. They are also seen making intimate gestures. The song Ang Laga De from the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela plays in the background.

In another video, a woman dressed in black clothes was seen standing on a scooter being driven by a man. In what appeared to be a reenactment of the legendary Titanic posture on a moving vehicle, the woman experienced the repercussions of her actions when she landed head first on the road after the driver swiftly hit the brakes. Despite the disaster, she smiled and seemed unaffected.

A day after the festival, an FIR was filed against the three “unidentified” people at Noida’s Sector 113 police station in response to a complaint from a local sub-inspector. A copy of the FIR was also posted on X on the official page of the Noida Traffic Police.

Reportedly, the chargesheet was made as per the following provisions of the IPC- Section 279 (rash/negligent driving endangering human life), Section 290 (public nuisance), Section 294 (obscenity in a public place), Section 336, and Section 337 (related to acts endangering the lives of others or causing harm).
