Markus Alexej Persson is introducing Bitshift Entertainment, a new studio focusing on game development. Taking to Twitter, the developer revealed that Bitshift Entertainment is diligently working on their debut project, described as a classic roguelike game from a first-person perspective.
Furthermore, Persson teased fans with a sneak peek into the game’s development process by sharing a screenshot from an early build. While the project is currently operating under the codename Levers and Chests, Notch hinted at its temporary use of the Pinky Demon model from Voxel Doom as enemies, along with textures borrowed from various sources for the floor, walls, and ceiling.
Although the specifics regarding the game’s launch date and compatible platforms remain undisclosed, the gaming community is abuzz with anticipation and speculation about Bitshift Entertainment’s upcoming venture.
