Brave New World’ Rumor Reveals New Details About The Serpent Society

Could the Serpent Society have been a truly great Marvel villain team? A new Captain America: Brave New World rumor reveals what could have been a fresh take on an iconic team.

The Serpent Society has been the butt of many jokes made by Marvel fans. Despite being a prolific team in the comics, they’ve often been characterized as “just people in snake costumes.” Yet, with current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins cast as a member of the team in Captain America: Brave New World, fans hope those perceptions could change. A new rumor by scooper CanWeGetSomeToast teases new powers for the super team, so long as they make the cut!

According to the scooper, five members of The Serpent Society were expected to appear in Captain America: Brave New World, with the team consisting of Diamondback, Constrictor, Rattler, Asp, and Cobra. Each member would have a segment of a serpent tattoo that would spread apart to reveal a cybernetic enhancement underneath. Diamondback would be able to shoot projectiles from their fingers, Rattler would have sonic booms, Constrictor would have charged coils, Asp would have fire punches, and Cobra would be able to spit acid.

Sadly, the current word on the street is that Marvel wants to cut The Serpent Society out of Captain America: Brave New World entirely. While it would be a massive shame for such an iconic team never to get their flowers in the MCU, Marvel fans can hope for a few amazing deleted scenes!
