One such story that has captured attention revolves around a surprising interaction between a boss and a recently laid off employee. Titled “‘Why aren’t you going on holiday?’ Mindblowing Conversation with Boss,” the individual recounted a strange conversation with boss, who casually discussed his upcoming family trip to another continent immediately after terminating the employee. It didn’t stop there, as the boss even enquired about the fired employee’s holiday plans, suggesting he should take a break to relax and spend time with his children. This insensitive exchange left the employee questioning whether the boss was unaware of the situation or intentionally mocking them.
Sharing the post, the user wrote, “Literally being laid off by the owner of the establishment and during the conversation he mentions he’s going to another continent with his partner and children during the summer. “Anyway,” he says. “What are your plans for the summer, where are you going?” “Um nowhere??” “How come???? You should go on holiday. You seem really stressed. You’ve got to go somewhere and relax and treat your kids.” You’ve literally told me I won’t have a job in a week. I genuinely can’t tell if he was being unbelievably stupid or was making fun of me. Either way WTF man.”
