Fans are expected to gather in numbers in Jaipur to attend the Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL clash.

Rajasthan Royals have been enjoying an unbeaten run in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They will look to increase the winning streak by getting the better of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the upcoming home match, which will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 6, Saturday. The fixture is expected to attract a huge crowd, considering the popularity of both franchises. Though the BCCI has released online tickets for every IPL match this year, fans were spotted waiting in a long queue outside the venue for offline booking.

In a picture going viral, people were seen sleeping at the entrance of the Jaipur stadium. They seemed to have travelled from a distant place and were apparently waiting for the ticket counter to open. Dropping the photograph on X (formerly Twitter), a fan wrote, “Craze outside Jaipur stadium at 3 am for RCB Vs RR match tickets.”

Apart from the home crowd, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium will play host to many visiting Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans, who want their favourite team to secure the maiden IPL title this season. Rajasthan Royals will undoubtedly go into the match as the favourites. They are one of the top-performing sides of this year’s campaign.

The Sanju Samson-led side has played three matches this season and has triumphed in all of them. Rajasthan Royals will look to capitalise on the good start and continue the momentum till the end of the season. The franchise claimed its first and only IPL trophy in the inaugural 2008 edition when former Australia spinner Shane Warne was their captain.

Rajasthan Royals reached the playoffs in a few more seasons but failed to cross the ultimate hurdle. They will hope to end the long wait this year. The Royals hold the second spot in the current IPL standings.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have once again made a disheartening start to their IPL campaign. Despite Virat Kohli being in sublime form, the team has managed only one win in four games so far. RCB lost their opening match to Chennai Super Kings before beating Punjab Kings. Faf du Plessis and Co. played their next two matches at home and lost both.
