Nothing, a company founded by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is expected to launch the sequel to its second smartphone titled the ‘Nothing Phone 2a,’ at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 27, 2024. The Phone 2a is rumored to be a more affordable version of the Phone (2), which features a unique glyph interface on the back that displays information from various apps.
The Phone 2a will reportedly have a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, 50MP dual rear cameras, and a 32MP selfie camera. However, unlike the Phone (2), the Phone 2a will not have the glyph interface on the back, but instead a redesigned circular design with three glyph lights. The Phone 2a will run on Nothing OS 2.5, a custom Android skin that offers a minimalist and user-friendly experience. The price of the Phone 2a is expected to be around $400 USD, making it a competitive option in the mid-range segment.
