Sonu Sood urged the authorities and the Swiggy team not to take action against the delivery executive.
Sonu Sood helped thousands of people during the coronavirus outbreak and keeps on supporting those in need. The actor is often headlining news for being a good Samaritan to poor people. There have been many videos of the actor where he could be seen meeting people and trying to provide solutions to their problems. In yet another case, the actor came out in support of a Swiggy delivery man, whose video of stealing a pair of shoes in Gurugram had gone viral.
Sonu Sood urged the authorities and the Swiggy team not to take action against him. As the Dabangg actor supported the delivery executive, his post prompted a serious discussion among the social media users who started trolling him.
The actor backed the Swiggy delivery agent on microblogging platform X. He wrote, “If Swiggy’s delivery boy stole a pair of shoes while delivering food at someone’s house, Don’t take any action against him. In fact, buy him a new pair of shoes. He might be really in need. Be kind.” Soon, the actor’s post went viral and people began criticising his remark.
If Swiggy’s delivery boy stole a pair of shoes while delivering food at someone’s house. Don’t take any action against him. In fact buy him a new pair of shoes. He might be really in need. Be kind ❤️🙏— sonu sood (@SonuSood) April 12, 2024
One of the users wrote, “Asking for no action is still okay, but don’t justify it by giving nonsensical arguments. Poverty/Need is no justification for stealing. There are millions of people, poorer than this delivery guy, who work hard and earn their livelihood. They don’t steal. Justifying stealing is an insult to their hustle.”
Another user noted, “If a chain snatcher steals your gold chain, then don’t take action against him; in fact, buy him a new gold chain. He might be really in need. Be kind.”
It all started after a user shared a video that showed a delivery man, wearing Swiggy’s uniform, stealing a pair of Nike shoes. The user claimed that the shoes belonged to his friend who is a resident of Gurugram.
The viral clip even prompted a response from Swiggy’s customer care, who decided to take action against the delivery agent.
